Accessibility
A housing tool should not create another barrier.
Reentry Address is designed for keyboard access, readable contrast, clear headings, responsive layouts, and reduced-motion preferences.
Our approach
We aim to make the public website usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and assistive technologies. Accessibility is included in design review, code review, and automated testing.
- Semantic landmarks and heading order
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and forms
- Visible focus indicators
- Text alternatives for meaningful graphics
- Responsive layouts without horizontal page overflow
- Support for reduced-motion preferences
- Color choices that are not the only way status is communicated
Known limits
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Third-party services, embedded security challenges, linked government sites, and future application maps may have limitations outside our direct control. We will document and address issues we can reproduce.
Report a barrier
Send the page address, a description of the problem, the device or assistive technology used, and the format you need to hello@reentryaddress.org.
